KCTM Conference 2014 - Speaker Proposals
Growing Mathematicians Through the Practices

  • The deadline for submitting speaker proposals is August 15, 2014.  All proposals will be evaluated by a committee and scored according to the Speaker Review Criteria.  Lead speakers will be notified of the committee's decision in late August 2014.  The speaker proposal form may be found here.
  • The committee is especially interested in proposals that address the topics of student growth, student practice, student voice, or student success.  Proposals are not limited to these topics, but applicants should note if their presentations address any of these topics.
  • Lead speakers with accepted proposals may register for the conference and pay the registration fee after receiving notice in late August 2014.  More information on the conference registration process may be found here.  Please note that the lead speaker and all co-speakers for each proposal must be paid members of KCTM at the time of submission.
  • Mounted projectors, document cameras, Mac workstations, speaker systems, and direct Internet ports are available in all presentation rooms.  Wireless Internet access is available with sufficient notice.  Please indicate other technology needs on the speaker proposal form; conference organizers will attempt to accommodate those requests.
  • Refunds are not available for speakers; however substitutions will be considered on an individual basis.  Please contact Ms. Dee Crescitelli. Conference Chair, at [email protected] for additional information on substitutions.
  • The title and description of each accepted proposal will be listed in the conference program book.
    • An engaging description that is both brief and specific with respect to the speaker's plan for the presentation is helpful both to the evaluation committee and to the conference participants.
    • Objectives will note be listed in the program book but are helpful to the evaluation committee.
    • KCTM reserves the right to edit titles and descriptions for length and content.
