Characteristics of High Effective Mathematics Teaching and Learning- The Kentucky Department of Education has posted characteristics describing the role of the teacher and student in an exemplary mathematics instructional environment. The characteristics are based on research and they articulate the vision for highly effective mathematics instruction. Beyond the characteristics and the supporting research, KDE has provided tools that may be used as resources to support high quality mathematics instruction.
