Speaker Proposals - 2017
Proposal Review Process - The deadline for submitting a proposal is Friday, June 30, 2017. Speaker proposals will be evaluated by a committee using the Speaker Review Criteria. Lead speakers will be notified via e-mail by the end of July. That notification will contain registration and payment instructions.
Registration - Only one speaker per proposal may be designated as the lead speaker, who is eligible for the reduced early registration fee of $25. Co-speakers must register for the regular early registration fee of $70. All lead speakers and co-speakers must be paid members of KCTM when the proposal is submitted. Early registrations for both lead speakers and co-speakers must be completed by October 21, 2017. After this date, all registrations will be processed on site.
Session Length - The conference will have 30-, 45-, and 90-minute sessions. A speaker may consider a longer presentation for attendees who want more detailed information about the topic and an abbreviated presentation of the same topic for attendees who are interested in a shorter session.
Technology - Please indicate any special technology needs on the speaker proposal form. Conference organizers will attempt to accommodate those requests.
Cancellation Policy - Refunds are not available for speakers. Substitutions will be considered on an individual basis. Please contact Ms. Katie Ruff, Conference Chair, at firstname.lastname@example.org for additional information on substitutions.
